Prefects’
Council election was organized in Orchids-The International School on 27.6.14
in a truly democratic spirit. For more than a week the contestants for the
appointments of Head Girl, Head Boy and House Captains for the four Houses of
the school gave election speeches in the morning assembly to impress the
voters. Their speeches were effective, promising and assertive. Their
supporters canvassed for them in earnest and it was very difficult to guess the
winners. Ballot boxes, ballot papers and eager voters made an eventful day.
Votes were counted on the same day and the results were announced on 30.6.14.
