English Debate Competition


A coin has two sides, same is true for a debate. It is always interesting to think about the two sides of an issue, be able to agree and disagree with a statement. Orchidians of III-V classes participated in their much awaited English Debate competition on 3/01/14. The debatable topic for participants was ‘Television is a media for education and entertainment’.

The participants were divided into two groups.
Group A spoke in favour of Education.
Group B were favouring Entertainment.

Following students were declared winner of the debate competition:

It was a pleasure to see them develop their skills of organizing the material and express their opinions articulately and confidently. They were able to emphasize their points of argument convincingly, appealing the audience
